Supporting families on their path to home for 25 years
The last four years underscored the many vulnerabilities of our current service model which relies heavily on our key allies, churches and volunteers, and is highly susceptible to disruptions. Families in our program currently spend the day at school, work, or our Day Center and in the evening rotate between church partners. While we are tremendously grateful for our partners and countless volunteers who help us pursue our mission, we've learned there are more efficient, less disruptive, person-centered ways of serving our families and improving client outcomes.
Homelessness dramatically undermines personal and community health, placing undue burdens on local government, taxpayers, and consuming limited community resources. To ensure we can meet the increasing and emerging needs across our service region, we've re-envisioned the way we serve and have embarked on an exciting plan to build a new facility with shelter for families and centralized client services all under one roof. This project will also increase our capacity to serve ten families at a time, up to 33 people, from five currently, up to 20 people. We believe the time to pursue this ambitious and life-saving initiative is now, with our organization strongly and uniquely positioned to lead this effort.
